Working alongside SWCCCASE’s account payable department, a pay schedule with a more user-friendly layout was born.
The concept here is simplicity. The accounting department meets with each new hire. Sometimes several in a day. The goal was to help the accounting department during each on-boarding meeting explains a seemingly complicated pay schedule more efficiently. The new concept needed to also continue to be a resource to the new employee after the on-boarding process.
After multiple brainstorming meetings and implementation of the new design, the pay schedule was able to save time and frustration to all involved. I focused on the visualization of the schedule with differentiating colors and geometric graphics. With the massive amount of information they were often overloaded with, the new design eased the new employee allowing the information to be absorbed. In the end, the new layout was overwhelmingly received by the organization and provided a more approachable concept for new hires.
