Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a great aide for the students at Braun Educational Center located in Oak Forest, IL. The director of the school asked for a design the students would be proud to wear. To connect to diverse personalities and styles, I created buttons and t-shirts that included the primary requested element. Bees.
Imagery of honeycombs and antennae were used to connect with the young, fun student body and keeping it simple. “Be” was repeated as the call to action and an eye catcher. Overall, the final goal was accomplished promoting students to be more responsible, respectful and safe. The shirts were well received with new apparel to show off every fun Friday. Students and staff expressed their support wearing the shirts proudly.
